Now hiring for the following positions:
Program Manager, Assessment and Travel Training
Paratransit, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time Program Manager, Assessment and Travel Training to organize, direct, coordinate, supervise and administer the activities of Paratransit, Inc.’s eligibility assessment and travel training office. The activities of the office include conducting eligibility interviews and assessments of existing customers and new applicants for ADA paratransit service in order to determine the functional ability to use public transit services; providing one-on-one and/or group mobility training to eligible program participants in the proper and safe use of the local transit system; and providing outreach to community groups and agencies, as needed. The work schedule is mostly Monday through Friday with varied hours. This position is assigned to our office in Honolulu, Hawaii. Paratransit does not pay for or provide reimbursement for relocation expenses. This position will remain open until filled.
The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum of five years’ supervisory and management experience
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of databases and the ability to use computers, including proficient skill level in the use of Filemaker, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Knowledge of the local transit system
- Ability to train, schedule, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of others
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize own work and the work of others so as to meet specified time lines/deadlines
- Ability to identify problem areas or situations quickly, isolate problem causes, and take appropriate action to resolve problems identified
- Ability to conduct functional assessments to determine eligibility and/or conditions under which applicants may use ADA complementary paratransit service and one-on-one or group mobility training, when necessary, and train to proficiency staff responsible for performing these duties
- Ability to gather project information and statistics and prepare comprehensive reports for presentation to management, the contract agency, and/or other groups as required
- Ability to ensure compliance with applicable contracts, including meeting established goals and complying with all terms of the agreement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Possession of a valid driver license
- Possession of appropriate car insurance as designated by Paratransit, Inc.
Salary:
The salary range is $52,000 to $62,400 annually depending on qualifications. This position includes a benefits package.
